Carhartt WIP Fall/Winter 21: Wilderness Calls

Carhartt Work In Progress (WIP) presented its F/W 21 Collection through a detailed lookbook, which includes an assemblage of rugged and weather enduring pieces. The collection induces childhood camping trip nostalgia, featuring shades of earth-inspired clay, beige, and sienna and multiple made-to-last materials, such as corduroy, wool, and treated canvas.

Not only did Carhartt WIP play off of the great outdoors, but the brand also took inspiration from its own tried and true styles. One style in particular that established the foundation for the new collection was Carhartt’s Double Ruck Knee pants, known for their worn down, two-toned knee panel. This austere yet functional mode of design paved the way for the F/W 21 Collection to highlight many of its own dual-toned garments — pants, overalls, the OG Arctic Coat, and more.

In continuation of the rustic theme, the collection incorporates references to hunting, rock climbing, and vast natural expanses. Much of the collection is adorned in camouflage, scenic outdoor prints, and even a yarn-dyed stripe technique reminiscent of traditional saddle blankets.

There are further drops set for the coming months, but the F/W Women’s and Men’s collections are now available at all Carhartt WIP stores and online via Carhartt-WIP.com.
