The holidays are almost here and we've got only one thing on our Christmas list this season: a bag from PARS UNUM, the new New York City-based bag line from creative director Jimmy Rau and accessory designer Fabiola Pedrazzini.

Launched earlier this fall with a F/W '18 capsule, the brand currently sells five classic, genderless staples—the backpack, the messenger, the duffle, the tote and the carré—all handcrafted in Italy. Available in two colorways (powder and carbon), the pieces are "designed and produced with a singular goal in mind: to become one with its owner."

This process, which stems from the attachment we form with our favorite accessories, along with the minimalist versatility of the debut collection, allows the wearer to make each PARS UNUM bag completely their own.

Or, as the brand puts it: they're a "metaphor for experience—a blank slate that morphs with context" at "the nexus of utility and luxury."

As part of the launch of the label, PARS UNUM tapped office favorite Luka Sabbat to star in a classically chic lookbook that pairs the model with each piece from the line. But unlike other designers, for Rau and Pedrazzini, 'classic' doesn't mean already been done—it's a sensibility, a state of mind, that's constantly evolving. Inspired by late-'80s and '90s sport, PARS UNUM interprets that sentiment through sharp yet effortless, structural bags made from the highest quality leather. And we can't wait to get our hands on one—or all five.

With a first campaign shot in New York, capturing riders through the lens of street photographers Sarah van Rij and David van der Leeuw, Rapha Performance Sportswear strikes the perfect balance between style and functionality, tailored for life in motion. Just in time for prime sunny weather here in New York, the collection is a perfect choice, both on and off the bike.
