On Tour with Eartheater

Speaking to her after the show, she shared about playing her new album on tour for the first time, “I actually had this thought when I was on stage that … wow … I wrote this music this year and I’m already here performing it now. This never happens that quickly.” Yet nothing about her setlist felt forced or rushed. In fact, less than halfway through the set, she changed part of her wardrobe, taking off one of her gloves to feel more in tune with her guitar. “It’s about listening to your body, as opposed to feeling scared to break the flow of things,” she shares, emphasizing the role that physicality plays in her performance and her music at large.

After her performance, Eartheater invited office backstage to meet the rest of her band. The warmth in the room was palpable as they embraced and celebrated another successful evening on tour. Though initially, we had planned a post-show photoshoot with the Eartheater alone, she explained that it felt right to monumentalize this moment with her bandmates. As they joined her behind the lens, we gained an intimate glimpse into the types of creative families that can bring such beautiful performances about.
